Hi
Unfortunately just providing a copy of your document does not really help. This is because when you send a document to someone it will use the recipients template to display the document. If there are styles in the senders document that are not contained in the recipients template then the recipients template will use the closest match.

Hope this makes sense.

Getting to your actual issue, this may be down to how the page numbering is set up in your template and without seeing your template it is difficult to see what is happening.

What you could try is the following.

First open your document then:
1. Select File.
2. Select Options.
3. Select Display.
4. Tick the box Update fields before printing.

Sometimes Word will not display updated field codes until you actually print the document, following the above may resolve your issues as I cannot recreate your issue on my version of Office 2010.
Good luck.
