I reinstalled MS Office 2010 in Windows 10, 64-bit. v. 1903 (the version from hell).
To make a long story short, Normal.dotm wound up in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\T emplates instead of the desired C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates and I get lack of space error, cannot close Word, and cannot open docx files by double-clicking on them. I do not think [User] is an administrator account, but i would want it to be, at least while I am reinstalling all my apps (after a clean install of 1903 ... did I say "the version from hell?) Kindly let me know what I should do to get back to normal (no pun intended). I am at whit's end. Hans L |

Contrary to what I said, my Win 10 login account is an administrator account.

Open Word and go to File > Options > Advanced > scroll to the bottom and click on File Locations. Modify the User Templates location to your preferred location.
Does that fix the issue?

Thank you! However, clicking Modify did ... nothing!!! I am, today, going back to Win 10, v. 1809. All the best, Hans L |
