![]() Hi Jamal, The problem isn't with your Heading 1, but with the document's List numbering system. Another way you could try to fix things is to save the document as an RTF file, then close & re-start Word. When the RTF file is re-opened, that sometimes fixes things.

i converted the file to rtf then back to docx and it did work now, i couldn't know why i have a tab after the heading "Chapter 1" although the tab is set to be ZERO (attached) what might be the reason? regards Jamal |
