![]() after updating to Windows 7 MS Word 2007 has the Page Number sub menus grayed out and I can not enter a page number sequentially. All I get if I type in a page number in the footer is the same number on every page. |

Hi Jack,
Have you tried repairing Word (Word Options|Resources|Diagnose)?

Hi Paul,
Yes I did try that. After I did the diagnose step I restarted the computer and then opened MS Word clicked the Insert tab and then Page number down arrow the Bottom of page the submenu from here is grayed out. As are all the other page locations for page numbers. Same thing for Design and page number. Cheers, Jack |

Hi Jack,
OK, try the following: 1. Click on Office Button|Word Options|Add-Ins > Manage > Disabled Items > Go. 2. If Building Blocks.dotx is listed, click it, and then click Enable. 3. Exit and restart Word. If Building Blocks.dotx is not listed, the Building Blocks.dotx file may be enabled but damaged or missing. In that case, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933312
