Hi Nugget,

Most of them can be re-set by deleting Word's 'Normal' template. To see where it's kept, go to Word Options|Advanced > File Locations > User templates. You'll need to close Word and use Windows Explorer to do the deletion.

Beyond that, you can try re-setting Word's registry settings, via the Windows Start|Run box, with:
winword /regserver
