Hi Jamal,

The important thing to remember is that MS Word is a wordprocessor, not a page layout application. Still, it does give a good page layout when that is considered.

With your document, some judicious editing of the paragraph in question could decrease the number of lines by one, causing it to all fit within the column, or you might add another line or two of text and the extra lines thus produced would fill the first column. This is the kind of editing that is best left until you're at the final draft stage.
