Hi Jamal,
If you want the caption and the equation to appear on the same line without affecting each other, you'll need to do something like this: 1. Before inserting the equation, create the pargagrah into which it will go and press Ctrl-Tab to insert a tab character. 2. Insert the equation before the tab character. 3. After the tab character, press <Enter> to create a new paragraph and insert the Caption into that paragraph 4. Return to the equation paragraph and press <Ctrl>-<Alt>-<Enter> to apply the Style Separator format. This will give you an equation and its caption on the same line.
