Hi everyone, I've got a problem that's got me completely stumped.
I'm creating a bunch of word templates that I need to lock down to prevent unwanted editing. So far so simple, I've got all of the word files locked down with the areas I want users to be able to edit highlighted. However, I also have a large number of tables and charts which have captions attached to them. When the document is locked, I can't just select all and F9 to update the numbers or ToC, so I have to do them all manually (I think in total there are about 400 tables/figures so for the sake of my sanity, not an option) the only way I've found of being able to get around this is to unlock the document, make the updates then relock it, but obviously this defeats the point for locking the file in the first place? Does anyone know any way I can get this to work? Cheers in advance |
