I have a large A-size Word document that has figures in it, numbered sequentially using the paragraph number. I'm trying to insert three B-size (11 x 17) pages into the document with figures on them and use F9 to update the figure title for the TOC. However, whenever I try to change the specific pages to 11 x 17 and Landscape, Word inserts section breaks so the figure numbers will not continue from the previous figure (they start over). Using Page Layout - Margins - Custom Margins - Apply to selected text doesn't work. If I remove a section break, all the previous pages change to 11 x 17. Is there any easy way to insert non-A-size pages into a document and keep the page numbers and figure numbers flowing? Thanks!

Hello, Excelsior (presumably from the famous poem about an alpine village).
You need the breaks. The page numbering issue can be solved after you have them in place. Go into your header or footer in the B section. Select the page number and go to the Insert tab on the ribbon. In the Header and Footer section, you will see Page Number. Click on the down arrow and select Format Page Numbers. In ensuing the pop-up, select Continue from previous section. You will need to do this for the section following B, as well. Best, Ulo |
