Default Shortcut keys in Find&Replace

Can the standard shortcut keys (e.g. ctrl+b for bold, ctrl+i for italic and so on) be used in Find&Replace dialog as well?
I know that one can use mouse clicks to achieve that (more-format), but it would surely be great help if some shortcuts existed.
If not, any advices for that?
Thanks in advance.
