I have been writing a novel for some time now and have always saved my document to my HD and to a USB stick under 3 different names. This has worked out well for the past several weeks. There are about 245 pages to the story
Recently I went to open the document after letting it sit for a few weeks and found that pages 1-84 were just fine. However pages 85-245 were just rows of zeros or Os. I'd copy and paste a sample, but they do not seem to want to copy and past. Also there is a footer on each page that seems to be 10 x the page number plus a series of the same number: 850 0000850850850 for page 85. Worst of all, when I opened the other copies of the document they are all similar. I must of saved a bad copy and Sved As the other files as well, as I usually do. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened or how I can recover it, if possible? Any help is appreciated. See sample Doc attached. Thanks |

Now this is weird. The doc I saved from a copy and paste of the final page is all 0s in the original.
When I opened this attachment it is all 1s. Curiouser and curiouser. |
