Hi robinvda,

If the file is still in the Word 97-2003 format, you could try opeining it with Notepad or WordPad to see what text content is recoverable. Alternatively, you could use Word 2007's 'Open and Repair' option (via File|Open) or Word 2003's 'Recover Text from any file' tool, for which the process is:
• Goto Tools|Options|Generaland check the 'Confirm conversion at Open' option
• Click Open|Files of type>Recover Text from Any File.
If you don't see 'Recover Text from Any File' option in the 'Files of type' box, you need to install the file converter.
