Paul,

Thanks. For the pictures, I'd must rather put them into the text field if possible. The issue is with a test report, there may be a dozen charts (figures in this case), all seperated by text. Meaning paragraph, figure, paragraph, figure, etc... Difficult to do with seperate text fields and section breaks. Other thoughts?

As for the footer. I only want the data to appear once, at the bottom of page #1. With the method you suggest, the data will be shown twice (once in the text field, the second in the footer).

Additional suggestions?

I appreciate the help. Just trying to make this idiot proof.

Matt

Hi Matt,

I've been away for the past few weeks, hence the delay in replying.

If you're using Word 2007 or later, you could set the document up with Text and Picture Content Controls and Quick Parts that the user could use to insert the ContentControls as required. To see how to do this, go to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...010214071.aspx
there's an example using Picture Content Controls at:

With a bit of field coding or the use of the 'different first page' layout option, you can limit the footer's appearance to the first page.
