Hello everyone,
I am formatting a document where the first two pages have section breaks in order to custom number the pages with roman numerals instead of regular numbers. These first two pages have Level 1 Headings for the titles, though I do not display the numbers. As a result, on the first page with regular numbering, I am forced to begin my Level 2 Heading with 3.1 whereas I would like it to begin numbering at 1.1. When I try to use the "Set Numbering Value" option, it says that 1 and 2 are already on the list and I cannot custom start my numbering with those values. In other words, here is the desired layout: Page 1 My Title (Level 1 Heading) - Section Break - Page 2 My Title (Level 1 Heading) - Section Break - Page 3 My Title (Level 1 Heading) 1.1 My Title (Level 2 Heading) but it instead shows 3.1 My Title (Level 2 Heading) Does anyone have a trick to force the numbering to begin at 1.1 even after two section breaks and two prior Level 1 Headings? Thanks!! --Dave |
