![]() Hello, Please consider the following: At the top of a new document, I have something like: Comments: And on the last line of the document, you have: Signaute: ____________________ How can I set it so that no matter how much I write in the "comments" (at least, up to the signature line), the "signature" line will not get pushed to the next page? |

What you want to control is you want NO widows
Even so, at times, your signature line may go to the next page You may have to "cheat" by SLIGHTLY adjusting your margins and/or font size to bring up the signature line (which Word considers as a paragraph) |

Put 'Signature' in a text box positioned at the bottom of the page. Then format the text box (right click on it and choose Format Text Box, Layout, Advanced) so that it doesn't move with text. (See screen grab -- this is from Word 2004 on a Mac, but the principle is the same.) You can also set the line colour to none, so there is no visible box around the word.
Hope this helps. |
