The Debug shows the line where the code ran into a problem.

Did you copy and paste the code or did you type it?

The first active line starts with "Dim."
I am using Microsoft 365.

Sometimes there is something weird added to the vba code posted. In Charles' post above, there is a rogue '[/HTML]' sitting on a line. That should be deleted after you paste the code into the vba editor.

If you then attempt to run the code, it 'should' work but it is possible there is something else which is causing problems. If this is the case, choose to 'Debug' the code and have a look at the highlighted line. If you post back telling us where the problem actually exists we can figure out what is going wrong.

Hi Charles Kenyon
I copied and pasted the macro you sent me. When I pressed the debug it highlighted the top line and said there was an error. I guessed the error was in the highlighted line but there was no instruction of how to fix that error.

Hi Guessed
In answer to your reply to my question about the macro to change to UK English, I think the error must be in the first line. That was the first line that showed up highlighted when a message said error. I'll take another look at it and see if there was a line with the initials you mentioned (HM...). Without what you wrote in front of me, I can't remember the full initial. Thank you for mentioning it.

Hi Guessed
I just looked at the macro and saw that there was HTML in the highlighted line after pressing debug. I deleted that line and it still wouldn't run. There were other lines that showed HTML, so I deleted them too. It still didn't run but came up with a message that said For was missing. I deleted the macro from my VBA editor in Word and copied it from Charles Kenyon's original, back into my VBA editor. Now I have the original again that still doesn't run in Word.
