two or more tab at the front

Hi!
If I add a tab at the beginning of an paragraph all works fine, but the second tab works unexpectedly for me, please someone explain me why the white line(from background) appears, I have checked "Don't add space between paragraph on same type" so if the line doesn't appear before the paragraph why does it appear after?

Secondly, why the whole paragraph go to the right, if in last line in front of the word "venenatis" I put any number of tabs everything works fine, the paragraph doesn't go to the right!
