How do I purchase Microsoft Word?

You can get Office Home and it will have Word.
You can also purchase Word alone.
As you may notice, Word alone is more expensive!
$179 vs $149

Be sure to first uninstall Microsoft 365 if it is there.

Thanks Charles, especially the tip on uninstalling Microsoft 365 first. New computers must come with a free trial of Microsoft 365, and that's what you are saying I should uninstall?

Yes. Some may come with Office 2024 but you would be paying extra for that.
