Not to Word alone. You add fonts to your Windows operating system. See: Download a new font - Microsoft Support

Thanks for that, it had to be something simple like that especially for a dumb idiot like me.

You are neither dumb nor an idiot if you know enough to ask questions.

You can embed a font in a Word document though if you have a non-standard typeface that you want other users to be able to see when they open your document.

Note that this can significantly increase the file size.
