Office 2021: How to keep the inserted cross-reference (text + number) on the same line?
For example, in the screenshot below, the inserted cross-reference (Table 1) becomes fragmented when placed at the end of a line. How can I ensure they stay together as a single unit? I’m aware of the “Ctrl + Shift + Space” shortcut that keeps specific entries together, but I’m looking for a more general solution that ensures all inserted cross-references remain as a single unit throughout the entire document. Could this be done using a find/replace workaround? There should be a smarter solution. |
