Office 2021: No "delete" option for an object inserted in the Word file
In the screenshot provided (with the attached docx file), the marked object does not have a delete option. What is this object, and how can it be deleted? |

That is a content control. Click on the grey tab to select it, as in your second screenshot, and press the delete key on your keyboard.
If that doesn't work the control may be locked so you need to check the properties for the control. With the content control selected as above, go to the Developer tab and click on Properties. Ensure that the box marked in the screenshot is not checked and click ok. You can now use the delete key as above. |
