I am little annoyed how Word handles the table columns. Is there a way to make the column independent from other column for changing the width? I have 4x4 table in word, I do not want it behave such as Excel does. If I adjust the 1st row column, all of the column in different row will follow my width. I do not want it to be like that, I want each row have independent column width. Sometime I have 1st row and 4th row have similar column width, changing the 4th row will change the 1st row.
I am trying to create information fillable form. The only way I can avoid this is splitting the cells in different part and pray that one of them do not have other row follow it then merge the rest. |

You can select a couple of cells in a column and then resize only those cells, if that helps.
