Default Text added to file after certain date

Hi friends!

I don't remember if I asked this before (my meds have destroyed my previously excellent memory

Is there some ingenious way to discern which text in a doc was added after a certain date? Now I know I can compare docs from one at that date and the present one, but I was looking for a more direct way to see in the doc itself. Is there some ingenious way to attach time stamp to the text added in the doc?

Thank you and have a good day!

Susan Flamingo

Only if you have Track Changes turned on at the time the changes are made.

Default Track only my changes

Well, I learned something new that I can track only my changes which is good for me. But in the drop down it is not showing up (see attached) this is where it is supposed to be. Word 2021 is updated all the time...
What is going on?

You can click Track Changes in that button and you can also have a clickable indicator in your Status Bar at the bottom of your Window. You can use the latter to turn this on or off.
See Track Changes

Note that Track Changes adds a lot of overhead to your document. It can slow things down.
