Default Protected form help!!

I am not very familiar with word but learning. I created a fillable form using legacy and protected it. This is a form I use 60 times a day. I fill out the info and then to copy and paste form to another screen. Once I fill in info I can not highlight the form to copy and paste due to it being protected. Is there a way to do this? I also want to be able to copy all text I just filled in and delete at once so I can start over on next pt and not have to bring another form up. Is there a way to highlight and delete all filled in info? Thank you for your time.

Save your form as a Template.
Templates in Microsoft Word
Then simply create a new document from your template each time you use it. You can save or discard the new document.

If you use Greg Maxey's Add-In for legacy form controls, you would have access to the legacy Eraser that clears all the fields (resets the form).
Add Classic FormField Controls to Ribbon (Greg Maxey free Add-In)
This also has the lock/unlock button. Both were left out of the legacy drop-down when the Ribbon and Content Controls were introduced with Word 2007.

===============================
Why are you using legacy form fields?
Unless there is a specific reason to be using them, you should be using Content Controls (but not mixing the two).

The editing restriction for Filling in Forms not only restricts editing but limits other Word features such as spell checking. When you use one of the other restrictions like the Group Content Control or No Changes - with exceptions, you can copy from the form even on areas that cannot be changed.

See this page which has a comparison of legacy formfields and Content Contrcols: Word Content Controls by Greg Maxey.

Greg also has a free Add-In that can be used to convert legacy formfields to Content Controls. Content Control Tools by Greg Maxey

Note, although Greg offers his tools without charge, they represent real work and skill. I encourage those who use them to send him a donation. I have.
