In Word, when I click File-Options-Advanced-Show Document Content and uncheck Show Crop Marks, nothing happens. No matter what I do, there are crop marks on a PDF when I load it into Word. Is there something I'm not doing or not understanding? The same thing happens when I uncheck Show Text Boundaries. Just to be clear, I do not want my doc to display crop marks or text boundaries. Thanks in advance for any help.

I had a PDF that I converted to a Word doc. I just looked at the PDF and it has crop marks as well. So, it's not a Word problem - but I was still wondering if there's a way to remove the crop marks from the Word doc. Thanks in advance.

Presumably the crop marks are now a graphic in the Word document so you will need to select that object and delete it. Then repeat for every page.
Perhaps you could try cropping the PDF (to hide the crop marks) before you convert it to a Word document. That might be a simpler fix

Hello -
Just wanted to let the forum know that the issue is resolved. What I had to do is edit out the crop marks using a free PDF editor, PDF2GO. Then I was able to bring it into Word w/o the crop marks and print it with no problem. Thanks to all for the help. J ![]() |
