Edit space in endnotes in Word 2010
There are two superfluous spaces at the bottom of each page in the endnotes section of my Word 2010 typoscript. How can I delete them?

Would you care to attach a short document sample rather than just a screenshot?

Sorry, I fail to copy exactly one page from the endnotes section. I can assure you that the screenshot shows my problem exactly: I cannot delete any of the spaces (or paragraphs?) at the bottom of each page of the endnotes section. By the way, I managed to delete superfluous spaces at the top of the endnote page (in Draft view), but the trick does not work for the bottom of the endnote page.

See if backspacing works better than using the Delete key.
Note that if the blank paragraphs correspond to endnote markers in the main body of the document, you have to delete the markers. The "abandoned" paragraphs in the endnote area should then disappear.

First, select the cell where you want to see the result, then use the VLOOKUP function, specifying as arguments the value to search and the range in which to search. If a value is found, the function will return the corresponding value from the specified range column. If not, you can configure the function to return a null value or some other text. For example, "=VLOOKUP(A2, B:C, 2, FALSE)" will find a value from column C where the value in column B is the same as the value in cell A2.

TessaMurillo: How do you suppose Excel's VLOOKUP function is in any sense useful in a Word document?

When you insert endnotes and footnotes, each one ends with a 'special' paragraph marker that can't be deleted. So if you are trying to remove the final paragraph mark from the endnote you will have problems. Instead, remove the preceding ones, starting from the paragraph mark where the text ends, until you can't remove any more.
This is what Stefan was alluding to in telling you to use Backspace instead of Delete.
