No relation, as far as I know.

Blom is a fairly common name, though not as common as Andersson, for example.

Yes, you are right, of course. My name was Göransson when I emigrated from Sweden to the USA 1981. After 1-1/2 years here, I changed to Leander, my mother's maiden name. Much easier to live with :-). The most common name in Sweden is/used to be Johansson.

Nope, Ludwig, if related, is so distant that I have never seen any relationship.


Yes, keeping Swedish very well. Was a translator (Eng => Swe) for 20 years. Hurt my English a little, though.
