Deleting Blank Page Underneath a Table Not Happening
Hi everyone, I’m using Word as part of Office 365. I’ve read several web sites that supposedly have the solution to this problem. I’ve watched You Tube videos. Nothing has helped. I am hoping you can.
Quite simply, I have a blank page underneath a table that I cannot delete. I’m attaching a copy of the Word file. I tried doing CTRL + G, then typing in /page and then close, then pressing the DELETE key. That didn’t help. I tried going into the Navigation pane and selecting the blank page, then pressing DELETE. That didn’t help. Am I correct in assuming these instruction don’t work because I have a table? If so, then what procedure can I try to get the extraneous page deleted? Thank you very much. T. You have two continuous section breaks taking up space and adding complexity. Delete both of those section breaks and then change the page setup to one column (this will become apparent after you delete the second section break)
As a general principle, the LAST thing in a document must always be a paragraph mark so you can't end a document with a table. But if the table happens to end right down the bottom of a page, the trailing paragraph mark can be made very small to fit on the same page as the table.
