I previously had Office XP on my computer and recently installed Office 2007. All the various components work correctly except for Word 2007. Each time I start this application, the blank template that opens has Calibri (Body) as the font. I opened the Font dialog box and set Arial as the default font, but when I close and reopen Word, Calibri is back. I looked for the Normal.dotm file (by first selecting to show hidden files) but could not find it. I did look in the correct location: C:\Documents and Settings\My UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates.

I found a folder called Document Themes, and two files: $Normal (greyed out) and Normal11. There was no Normal.dotm.

Is there any way of getting the Normal.dotm file back? Of course, what I ultimately want is to have new documents open with Arial as the default font.
