Sorry for delay.
Place your cursor where the caption is to go. On the References ab, click on Insert caption, select the Label (perhaps Equation) from the list, and click OK. Add text as desired. Wherever you wish to insert a cross reference in the text, place your cursor, select Cross reference on in the same section on the References tab; select Equation (if that's what you selected for the caption); on the right, choose whether you just want the label and number or the whole caption text; then select the caption from the list below; click OK. |
