Default I have created a form. How do I lock title and free data boxes

I have created a form using a table which I have modified as needed - cells for titles and cells for data entry. I have setup data entry cells using Developer tab - text or date.
I now want to lock the title cells so that they cannot be changed whilst allowing data to be entered into the data cells.
I can find various YouTube and text answers but they all vary slightly or refer to header bars that don't contain tab I need or just look different.
I am using the latest version of Word 365. Can anyone point me in the direction of an up to date tutorial on the subject, or step by step instructions please.
A particular irritation is that I somehow managed to get part of the form working as I want - titles locked, data fields open - but I don't know how I managed it so can't do the rest of the form!

Exactly "how" depends so much on what you created. Can you attach a sample document?

Here is your form back.
The protection applied is "No Changes."
There is no password.
I selected the table cells in the first five rows where input is desired and made them exceptions for everyone.
You can unprotect the form, make the rest of the areas you want people to be able to type in exceptions and reprotect it applying a password if you want.

Note though, this is not absolute protection. No such thing exists.
