Computer rebooted with Word 2007 having several documents open and more in the document recovery task pane but when restarting Word, the recovery task pane does not open. The only *.wbk files I can find are Backup of *.wbk and quite old.
Any practical way to find the missing files? I did quite a lot of work since rebooting before discovering this so finding fles in unalocated disk space is not likely to work. |

The Back up of *.wbk files are backup files, not file recovery files.
See Automatically backup Word documents by Graham Mayor, MVP. You are looking for files in the format *.asd. These are special, not Word documents.
