I saved an important file yesterday and left my laptop open, while I was out of the room my toddler must have somehow hit 'select all' and replaced my document with a line of gibberish! Autosave then saved his gibberish and lost my work.
The laptop was shut down and when I opened it today I discovered my son's changes and can't find my manually saved file. Have searched temporary files with no luck. Is there a way to recover my file or has autosave caused me to lose my work...? |

Hi Gizandchip,
Autosave won't have cause your work's loss - someone would have saved the changes (eg by pressing Enter when closing the file). It's unlikely any file recovery software will find your file at this stage.
