I have watched the videos and read the document by Shauna, I am familiar/use with what the creaters have produced, unfortunately they did not give me the result I was hoping for. My docs can have sections from 1 to 34, comprising of write ups and supporting documents.
Not all sections have these. So in a 1 to 10 manual only sections 7.5, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0 have supporting documents that are listed in a table, the first column of the table is numbered as a continuation of the section number, so section 7.5.1 the table numbering starts as 7.5.1.1, next row 7.5.1.2. Section 7.5.2 the table is 7.5.2.1 and so on. Now what I need to do is move the sections down as I have a new subject that is now the first subject is 7.5.1, so the original 7.5.1 is now 7.5 2, what would save me time is that the numbering in the table will auto populat so it would now be 7 5.2.1 and so on, the same would apply to the original 7.5.2, which is now 7.5.3, and the table numbering would also auto populate to 7.5.3.1. It would save me so much time as I can have a lot of tables in sections and subsections. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 02-28-2023 at 11:02 AM. Reason: break into paragraphs |
