It's not clear what you are talking about but I'm guessing that you are using automatic outline numbering on the Heading 7 and the styles are refreshing (from attached template) on open to remove those heading numbers.

Perhaps you should save a copy of the document and cut out most of the content but leave enough that demonstrates the problem and load that file to this thread so we can look at what your problem is. Once we can see your issue it will be easy enough to fix.
