The paragraph mark suggest some other formatting is applied.
It looks like you've pasted the image into a TextBox. Instead of using Copy/Paste, is there a reason not to use the Insert/Screenshot...Clipping from directly in Word? Also check on your Options. Under the Advanced Section, look for the "Cut, Copy, and paste" I use "In line with text" for the "Insert/paste picture as: setting. |

Sure. There is no box there
Very confusing. I used this cut\paste since ages with no issues. No sure what’s happening recently |
