Try a Mapped Content Control. See Mapped Content Controls by Greg Maxey. A change in one place changes it in all. There are fifteen of these built into Word, but no combobox or dropdown controls are included. Repeating Data Using Document Property Content Controls and Other Mapped Content Controls so you'll need to create your own.
