Default Linking of graphs to word - no color when printing

I have linked some graphs from excel to word 2003, using paste special - paste as link: "microsoft excel chart objects". However, when I print the document these graphs show only in black-white. When I paste them as picture, I can print in color. What do I have to do to print in color when still having the linked graphs?
