![]() I have a custom bulleted list, created as per Shauna K's gold standard site. The bullets are from the Symbol font and are in a company color, while the text is black. I recently changed the third-level bullet, a dash, to one from Arial, but although the list style dialogue shows it's font to be in the assigned blue color, it shows as black in the styles pane and as applied in the document. Help, please. Thank you. |

Can you post a document that shows the problem?
Are you sure the third level list is associated with the style?

Just a note: a font will not be assigned a color. A style might be including the one used for your bullets.

Charles, I'm not sure I understand your comment. For years, the bullets have been blue and the text black.

The color of the bullet can be set in the list definition. It is not part of a font, it can be part of a style, it can be part of the list definition. We may just be talking at cross-purposes. The bullet's color will always be in the list definition.

In your sample, I am seeing your bullets as light blue.
What prints on a color printer? To pdf?
This may be a display issue. |

I'm using Word 2016 and those three levels are all showing a blue list item. Charles is on Office 2019 and it appears you are on Office 2021.
Does it make a difference if you change the document to Compatibility Mode to 2016. Does the third point remain black on your screen?

All the bullets in the example document are blue. They are also showing as blue in the styles gallery and the styles pane.

Thanks to one and all. Perhaps it is just a display issue; I just haven't seen it before. I'll make a PDF tomorrow when I get begin work.
