When I embed an excel object (a financial statement) into a word document, it works fine the first time I do it. I select and copy in the excel file and Paste Special > Link > Excel Object in the word file.
The very first time I do that process and print, everything is aligned as it should be and the gridlines from excel (which are not turned on to print in excel) do NOT show up in my word document. However, if I save and close the word file and reopen...I first get a message about updating the links, which I do. Then if I try and print that same exact file, the gridlines from the excel document (which are still not turned on to print and which are not borders) print. The only way I can fix the problem is to delete the linked object and recopy and paste special, etc. Any ideas about how to fix this bug? Thanks! |
