Hello, everyone, I have Office 365 and am using the current version of Word.
I have a question about sorting. I know how to sort the items IN each category below, but I’m not sure how to sort the list by category and then the items. For example, this shopping list should display Aldi first, then Shop Rite, then Target. Is it possible to sort the list alphabetically by the underlined headings, then the each section’s list? Thank you. Target: Beard Trimmer Soap Aldi: Applesauce Pepperoni Potato Salad Ricotta Cheese Wonton Soup Yogurt Shop Rite: Febreze with Gain Nathan’s French Fries |

If your document is structured into a table with shop/product in separate columns you can do the search in one step.
If your document is structured as you showed then you need to sort the products for each shop individually and then make sure the shops are formatted with a built-in heading style (or more correctly, with an outline level), change to Outline View, show that level of outline and select and sort the headings.
