I know better than to use Word as a web editor. It is a poor program for this.
If it is all you have... Save as a web page. Tnen look for the folder that that has your file's name with _files appended. In that folder you will find each of your images. Check which one is which and place your original images in that file replacing those produced by Word. |

I would likely edit in Front Page or edit the html directly. Word is still a poor web editor. It will not give you a good web page. It may give you one that is good enough, though. Word 2002 is twenty-years old (as is Front Page). |

Thanks
word 2002 works just fine for everything we do - except webpages! Front page would probably have a steep learning curve! I have the whole office suite 2002 if something else would work! EDIT! could you please see if Front page can do a a large screen size image covered in 30 or so links? the image at the top, would be covered in clear gifs that are links. |

Front Page does take some learning and is designed to edit websites, rather than simply web pages. It does fine with web pages as well. There are books out there. Word 2021 is no better at web pages than Word 2002, as far as I know. Be wary of Outlook 2002. Word 2002 uses the .doc file format which is somewhat more prone to corruption. You may want to download the original Legal Users Guide from my site which was based on Word 2000/2002. It is in Word format. My website started in Claris HomePage on a Mac. I now use exclusively Front Page. Here are principle links:

The forum does allow links. See my posts.
Little Globe with a chain link icon. How to post a question on this MSOffice forum One of the things Front Page does is let you set whether a link opens a new page or in the same page. This is basic html coding that I never learned. I think you can do the same thing with Word, though, in the Hyperlink dialog. |
