Thanks for your replies and working with me. Based on your post you've cleared up a few things. I'm making an educated guess that Word is a RichTextBox and M$ isusing a metafile or collection to hold Style formatting. Understanding how that metafile or collection is structured in regards to Word terminology and interacting with the GUI, I know would clear things up for me and I'm sure others, Hopefully I can find something. Mr. Kenyon, I have read the Basic Concepts at the posted link, You've reinforced spillerbd statements.
