Modern Comments in Word

Hi all,

I'm using Office 356 and have the same version of Word on my Mac Mini as I do on my MacBook. Version 16.56.

On my MacMini when I use comments I get the new look comments yet on my laptop, I don't get them.

Does anyone know why? Is it something to do with the age of the device (they're both on the same iOS). Or just a bug?

Modern comments are a work in progress and being phased in. A number of users really dislike them.

To add to what Charles has said, in some versions you can temporarily disable the modern comments. Specifically, in subscription versions of Word for Windows, there is a check box, "Enable modern comments," at File > Options > General.
