Dear Friends, Hope you are well.
I am working on a project and I just "feel" I am going about it wrong, and was interested in hearing your input: I have one main text of an ancient manuscript. To this text, I will attach footnotes and endnotes. Footnotes for Textual variants and endnotes for more substance-based notes. OK, that is simple so far. But this ancient MSS has 8(!!) commentaries to it. to each of these commentaries I want to attach text varients in the FN (of the commentaries) and substance notes in the EN (to the commentaries). I would have thought to use main and sub documents but this doesn't seem to allow me the ease of navigation that I want. What road should I pursue? All and any assistance is appreciated!! Susan |
