Assume you want to bind multiple documents in a Binder. Each document having two sets of numbering, i.e. document 1/30 pages and 1 / 250 Binder pages.

Example

Document 1 numbered centre Page 1 / 20 numbered right Binder Page 1/20



Document 2 numbered centre Page 1 / 20 numbered right Binder Page 21/40

Document 3 numbered centre Page 1 / 20 numbered right Binder Page 41/60

Etc.

Any idea if this is possible to have a double numbering system???

Is Binder a Mac-specific term?

In short, there isn't a simple way but you could do something with fiddly nested fields and set starting numbers for use in those nested fields.

If I was doing this on a Windows version of Word, I would make the Word docs as per normal with 1/20 page numbers. Then I would print them all to PDF and 'bind' them into a single PDF. Then I would use a PDF editor to add page numbers with the combined page numbering.

I was not aware I could do this via PDF editor.
