A very basic way to have easy, quick access to a Template, is to drag a Template from your Templates folder into an empty space on the Taskbar or onto the Word icon in the Taskbar.
If you don’t have the Word icon in the Taskbar, placing the Template in an empty area the Taskbar creates an icon to use in future. You simply then right click the Word icon and click the required Template from the Pinned section at the top. A new document is created based on the Template. My example below already has the Word icon in the Taskbar. ![]() Downside of the 'Pinned' Documents/Templates is they can disappear at times if 'cleaning' programs are used or 'Group Policy' settings are changed to remove them etc. |
