The CheckBox Content Control can be customised for size and checkmark character. You can find this on the Developer Tab.
If you don't have the Developer Tab showing, have a look at Show the developer tab in Word - Office Support

Apply the Windings 2 font to the character, select it, hold down the Alt key and type 082 (or simply type V)
Once you've created this character, you can simply copy/paste it to wherever else you want it to appear. For the equivalent unchecked box, apply the Windings 2 font to the character, select it, hold down the Alt key and type 0163 (the British pound character)

Developer didn't seem to open any menu choices that were relevant. In fact nearly all menus were greyed out.
I can't paste it into word to do any font changes to it. I don't think I've been doing it right. I've pasted it from the character editor into a notepad text file and I go there and copy that when I want it - then paste from the clipboard. That's been working okay. But it doesn't seem to want to work right now. select and copy from the character map won't work. I get one line of mysterious stuff - looks like a line from a previous document. select and copy from the notepad also doesn't work into word, but works fine within notepag. like I can select and copy on the notepad page and the paste, paste, paste as often as I like and it's fine. found a thing on the web all about the character editor and linking it to fonts and getting the hex numbers for it or something. but my editor says 'all fonts' so I think that's already done. and the hex numbers which were supposed to give access to 'Alt key' pasting, i.e. Alt 0176, that kind of thing, seems prevented by it having a number U-E003. The only thing I could think to try there was Alt 003 and that didn't work. So I'm not even doing it right and there's something wrong my copy and paste right now, whether because of Word or not I don't know. Appreciate any help... ![]() |

Why are you involving NotePad and the character map? The instructions in post #3 are quite simple and don't require either.
