It sems that the Key you show refers to "9.0\C ommon". Notice the space. There should be no spaces in reg keys and also the 9.0 may refer to old software. My PC registry only shows 15.0 and 16.0. For a modern Office version I would have expected reg changes to apply to 16.0 subkey.
You are correct not to attempt registry changes unless you are sure what you are doing since you could wreck your PC. |

The email notification of your previous post (#8) included the comment, which I assume you edited out: "First your image does not show registry subkeys. They are folders on your C: drive. Registry Keys and Subkeys look different (see picture)."
To be clear, I get that. My image shows the folders yes, but with no 9.0 folder, the subsequent subkey doesn't exist. |
