A different method to try, again with Text Boxes, is to select a poem word and have a Text Box surround that word and to add further formatting as required.
Either method is a laborious one. In my example below, I have added a QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) shortcut to the needed ‘Draw Text Box’ tool. My QAT is located below the Ribbon. This saves a lot of time with not having to continually go in and out of different Tabs and Menus. Click the image below to see how I have achieved what you want. It is a short poem, within a document and I have added Text Boxes with colour and shadows to the boxes and rotated then to add a little extra effect. I have used Word 2019. Your profile shows Office 2010, but the process is the same. ![]() |
